Carolyn Cash spent most of her childhood in the north-west NSW town of Pilliga and now lives in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.
She studied at the University of Sydney, Petersham TAFE (West Street) and the Australian College of Journalism.
Carolyn became interested in the British royal family during her primary school years, and discovered her passion for history in high school, especially the English Civil War. She began writing her historical novel (still unpublished), after finishing the HSC, which involved considerable research on 17th Century Britain and two trips to the UK.
Previous jobs include working as a journalist (as a casual and freelance), public servant, a Reservations Sales Agent for Ansett Airlines, and numerous temporary assignments in a receptionist role. Some include volunteer work.
Her hobbies include reading, especially history, writing, ten-pen bowling, politics, movies, social tennis, travel, stamping and card-making, sewing and the theatre. Carolyn is also a keen monarchist and produced her own show, Right Royal Roundup, on Sydney TAFE Radio in 2011.
At the moment, Right Royal Roundup is on Facebook and Twitter @RightRoyalRound
Right Royal Roundup was resurrected as part of the Diploma of Screen and Media (Radio Broadcasting) in 2014, and still continues as weekly podcasts.
Carolyn was interviewed by BBC World Services, as a Friend of the Presenter, regarding HRH Prince George of Cambridge’s birth in July 2013, and has rung in as a caller on 2GB to discuss the monarchy.
In January 2014, Carolyn became the royal correspondent for Narrabri’s community radio station, 2Max FM 91.3.
She was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome in 2002.
Print media and radio broadcasting work are on her web site.
